Lunch and/or Book Club - fancy a good read and lively chat about the book?
Details
Why not join our Book Club and be introduced to new books, with a get together afterwards to discuss it frankly, love it or hate it, interesting or boring, good or bad?
If you don't want to join for the book club, just come along for the lunch beforehand (but please let me know which you are coming for so I can book accordingly).
Feel free to join us for a particular book or every book, but don't expect to like them all. That is part of the fun.
If you would like to suggest a book to be read please message me with the title and author.
Meetings will be held monthly at 14:00 hours, The next meeting will be at the Woodpecker in Waterlooville, I will be there for lunch from 13:00 hours if anyone wants to join me/us.

Next Book: The Virgin Soldiers
Author: Leslie Thomas
Suggested by: Mike
'It rained a lot and steamed when the sun shone. It was always hot. But it was safe...'
One way or another the Communist guerrilla war in Malaya kept a whole British army occupied from 1948 until 1952. They were the virgin soldiers. Idle, homesick, afraid, bored, oversexed and unsatisfied.
A young virgin like Brigg had to grab his fun while and where he could - in the Liberty Club, in Juicy Lucy's flat or up in Phillipa's room - in one frantic attempt at living before he died or got demobbed...
Books usually available on Amazon, WOB (World of Books) and other internet sites and of course, can often be found in charity shops and the Library.
