What we’re about

Welcome to Fife Young Walkers! We are a vibrant community of outdoor enthusiasts in our 20s and 30s who share a love for walking and the joy of exploring the great outdoors.

We are a new group and planning to organise everything from evening strolls, leisurely ramblers, corbetts and munros to weekends away, city walks and muti day hikes with wild camping.

With our group, you can experience fun and healthy living while connecting with like-minded individuals and enjoy beautiful landscapes around Fife and further afield. Whether you're an experienced adventurer or a beginner, we have something for everyone. Join us on exhilarating adventures, make lifelong friendships, and be part of a community that promotes an active and fulfilling lifestyle. Let's embark on memorable journeys together!

Membership:
Fife Young Walkers is part of Ramblers Scotland, a charity who promote walking throughout Scotland. People who wish to walk regularly with us must join as a Ramblers member. Membership cost £41 a year and there's lots of great benefits including access to hundreds of free walks in the UK, access to weekends away, as well as discounts at Cotswold Outdoors.

New group members can come along to a total of 3 walks or socials before deciding if they want to join the Ramblers. You can join by visiting us online: https://www.ramblers.org.uk/membership

Safety:
All members must take responsibility for their own safety on walks. Our walk leaders are experienced, confident walks and will aim to prevent any incidents but personal responsibility is key.

The weather in Scotland is unpredictable so come prepared! Walkers should have sturdy footwear appropriate for the terrain, waterproofs, rucksack and warm layers as a minimum. Please also bring sufficient food and drink to keep you going.

Please arrive at least 10 mins before the advertised start time. If you're running late or have to cancel, please do let the walk leader know.

If you'd like to get involved in leading walks or help organise the group, do get in touch.

Please note, photographs which are published on Meetup may be used on social media sites and for marketing, so if you are uncomfortable with this, please ensure you let the event organiser know.

We look forward to meeting you on walks in the coming months.
