An 8 day trip to magical Jordan

Here is an outline of what we have got planned.

Day One
Fly to Aqaba. Land in the afternoon. Time to explore this beach side town and go on a boat ride.

Day Two
Time to explore more of Aqaba in the morning before our Wadi Rum trip.

Go on a trip to Wadi Rum to explore the desert. Experience Wadi Rum travelling by desert 4x4s on this half day tour of Wadi Rum's Protected Area. We will spend 4 hours exploring red sand dunes, hidden canyons and dramatic mountains sculpted by nature. We visit the main valley sites: Lawrence Spring Red Sand Dune Khazali Canyon - to see the inscriptions Small Arch We continue out of the main valley to visit Um Fruth Rock Bridge and Abu Khashaba - a beautiful canyon walk. Our guide will choose a beautiful area to watch the sunset. After sunset, you will return to Wadi Rum Village. There is plenty of time at each of the sites to get down from the jeep, take photographs, relax, drink Bedouin tea or go on a short walk.

Day Three
Head to Petra. We can organise transport to take us for a reasonable price. We can stop at Little Petra on route before ending up at our hotel in Petra. We will do a night tour of Petra.

Day Four
Full day to explore the historic site of Petra one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Day Five
We will head to the capital Amman today. We can arrange a driver and stop off at the ancient city of Madaba along the way.
Madaba is a bustling city that is best known for its artistic beauty. Adorned with mosaics from the Byzantine Empire, Madaba is a colorful city steeped in history. As Madaba is home to quite a small population, it has the ambiance of a large market town rather than a city.
This charm is what makes it one of the most welcoming Jordanian cities. Along with its stunning Byzantine designs, Madaba is the perfect place for shopping and dining.

We will arrive in Amman in the afternoon and start to explore. It wull be New Years Eve and most of the 5 star hotels offer drinks and entertainment which will be a good way to see in 2022.

Day Six
Full day to explore Amman. As Middle Eastern cities go, Amman is a relative youth, being mostly a creation of the 20th century. But though it lacks the storied history and thrilling architectural tapestry of other regional capitals, there’s plenty here to encourage you to linger awhile before making for Petra, the Dead Sea or Madaba. In fact, Amman is one of the easiest cities in which to enjoy the Middle East experience.
Downtown Amman is a must-see. At the bottom of the city’s many hills and overlooked by the magisterial Citadel, it features spectacular Roman ruins, an international-standard museum and the hubbub of mosques, souqs and coffeehouses that are central to Jordanian life.
Elsewhere, urbane western Amman has leafy residential districts, cafes, bars, modern malls and art galleries; and in earthy eastern Amman, it’s easy to sense the more traditional and conservative pulse of the capital.

Day Seven
Day trip to the Dead Sea. Please bring your swimming gear as floating in the Dead Sea is a must.

Day Eight
We will arrange a driver to get us back to Aqaba in the afternoon to get our evening flight home.

Price and Booking Info
Here's a breakdown of costs for the trip. Main Flight should cost around £300 to £400. Please note that everyone will be responsible for booking their own flight. Hotels will be £459 based on a twin room share and will be refundable if we can't go due to covid. There is £100 deposit to pay now to secure your place.
