Gloucester Speakers Club meeting
Details
There will be challenges to speak briefly on unseen topics and prepared speeches from people who are working through our educational program.
This meetup group is the place to sign up as a guest to our meetings - try us out, and if you like our group, become a member.
Are you troubled by giving speeches? We can help you learn and improve your public speaking skills. We are meeting entirely online during lockdown - after things get back to normal, we will meet both in person.
Many people are nervous when faced with speaking before an audience, giving a presentation to a meeting, or pitching their services to a client. We believe that learning skills in a friendly and supportive environment are the best way.
At Gloucester Speakers, you will learn speaking skills by following an education programme known as Pathways. You can practice speeches at the club and receive supportive and insightful feedback from members. You can watch, listen and learn from other speakers. As your confidence and skills develop, you can take on more challenging roles and more demanding speeches.
We are a warm and friendly club, part of Toastmasters International, and we are devoted to improving our members speaking and leadership skills.
Come along to the meeting as our guest. Sign up here on Meetup, and we will give you the details of how to join our club event. Come and see what we do and what we can offer you. There's no obligation, and we will not ask you to give a speech on your first visit.
7.15 pm for a 7.30 start
Remember, the Meetup group is just a place we recruit members, and our meetings are much busier than the attendance on Meetup suggests. There will be 10-12 people attending.
We hope you can come and join us and have some fun.
Best regards,
