The lightest of lighter hikes!
Stover Country Park & The River Teign (northwest of Newton Abbot), is an almost entirely flat walk, a rarity in South Devon. It starts and finishes in the wooded surroundings of the Country Park, encircles a lake and includes a stretch of riverside walking beside the Teign. Much of the route is waymarked with 'Templar Way & Heritage Trail' signs.

The plan:
11am meet at Stover Park Information Centre. Parking costs £2 for up to 2 hours or £4 for any longer period (via cash, card or RingGo).
11.15am walk

or 9.15am start for anyone that's interested in doing 2 circuits of this hike (first circuit at a medium to fast pace)

2pm Eat: the rustic and unique setting of the oldest pub in Devon, The Cridford Inn (13 minutes drive from Stover) Trusham TQ13 0NR
By the way, the food was pretty tasty the last time we went there!

The Christmas menu will require a £10 deposit and they will require preorders from their menu (see photo gallery)

There will be a £10 deposit required for the Christmas Lunch. A £2 per person subs will also be applicable, unless you have/want the £5 annual membership. If you have the annual membership can you transfer £10. If you do not want the annual membership can you transfer £12. **Please transfer as soon as you join the going list and DM me your menu choices (once I have posted the menu).**
If you have previously had the annual membership please see under your name when you have joined an event to double check that you membership has not expired. If you haven't got a paypal account it's quick, easy and free to set one up. **MAKE SURE YOU USE THE: 'PERSONAL... PAY FRIENDS & FAMILY EASILY' option when transferring (otherwise we will incur a charge).** Can you reference your name and 'Stover' when you transfer the money.
