The Lake District National Park recently given UNESCO world heritage status is the perfect place to spend a long weekend, Blue lakes bubbling streams and lush green fells we experience some of the most stunning mountain scenery Britain has to offer.
Staying just outside Ambleside In Shackleton Lodge Bunk House, we are perfectly situated to hike classic Lakeland routes such as the Fairfield Horseshoe, Weatherlam, Bow Fell, and the Langdale Pikes Helvellyn .
COST: COST: £100 deposit on RSVP balance £230 due March 15th 2025
INCLUDES: Return transport, 4 nights dormitory accommodation, 4 breakfasts, 3 pack lunches, BBQ evening. 4 guided hikes.
NOT INCLUDED: 2 evening meals, there are plenty of options nearby.
Thursday: Departure time 13:30 St Albans City Railway Station AL1 5HE Outside the main entrance. 20 mins by train from St Pancras,
Drive to Llanberis. stopping en route for food. Approx 6 hrs driving,
Friday/Saturday/Sunday Hiking, there is a huge variety of hikes in the area, we will choose hikes according to the weather, and group ability, there will be three hike leaders so plenty of options.
Monday: 10:00 Depart hostel 11:00 drive t Ambleside or free morning 13:30 depart for St Albans, stopping en route for a break. approx return to St Albans 19:30
