What we’re about
Welcome to the Gold Coast Active and Social group!
We run walks, hikes and rides all over the Gold Coast with a social catch up at the end.
Save the second Sunday afternoon each month in your calendar and join us to walk a short 5km section of the Gold Coast Oceanway and finish with social chat in surf club, progressing along the coast through the year. This event (formerly known as 'Walk and a Wine) has been running in one form or other for over 15 years! Come and see why it is such a great way to enjoy our coastline, meet some lovely people and get a feel for the group.
Most events request a $2 donation or we have an optional annual membership donation of $10 to cover the meetup fees and organiser costs.
Once costs are covered I will be using any extra funds to organise annual member celebrations!! :)
Numbers will be limited on hikes in line with QPWS requests and for the safety and comfort of the group. I will aim to move waitlisted annual members to going for all events, particularly our Oceanway walks.
