Mohican Winter Hikes, Food and Appalachian Music

Join us for a day of winter hiking, food and music!

Plan to arrive and be ready to hike by 10am. Parking is available in the lot on west side of the Pleasant Hill Dam. We will be offering two hike options with varying distances and paces.

Group 1: 12 ish miles (pace average 2.5mph)
Group 2: 17 ish miles (pace average 3.5mph)

Both hikes will start at 10am and conclude around 3pm ish. Please be prepared and equipped for these hikes including possible winter conditions (ie footwear traction devices). There will be some elevation.

12 Mile hike will include: Both Lyons Falls, Fire Tower, Gorge Overlook, Swinging bridge and finish with a small section of the mountain bike trail from the Covered Bridge back to the dam.

Following the hikes, join us for optional meal and music at the Mohican Lodge & Conference Center (1098 Ashland, Co Rd 3006, Perrysville, OH 44864), a short drive from the trailhead.

The Mohican Appalachian Acoustic Music Weekend runs Friday-Sunday at the lodge with jams Saturday plus an 8pm concert, free and open to the public.

The lodge dining room opens for dinner at 430pm, Saturday. We'll plan to be there and ready to be seated then. After dinner, enjoy time in the lodge before the concert at 8pm.

Come for as much of the day as you want. Anyone wishing to overnight at the lodge Saturday, a heads up they usually fill that evening, so reserve early. Mohican State Park also has cabin rentals available. Both options require a two night minimum stay.
