12 Mile Pleasant Hill Dam Lyons Falls Fire Tower Gorge Overlook Loop Hike

Moderate hike because of speed

We will be starting from the Lyon's falls trail head at Pleasant Hill Dam. Meet in the parking area on west side of dam.

Marguerite will be leading the hike and I'll be along for the walk. We will hike to Lyons falls and then follow the trail along the river to the Covered bridge. From the bridge, we will go up hog hollow trail to the fire tower and behind the tower will turn left onto the blue horse trail. We will follow the horse trail to park road 51 turn left and then follow it up to the Gorge bathroom area then down the west side of the Gorge trail to the swinging bridge. We will cross the swinging bridge and follow Hemlock trailwest back to the covered bridge and will take the mountain bike trail north to the 30-06 connector trail back to the dam.

12 miles, about 2.5 mph or 25 minute miles. A few breaks added in there as needed.

snack, Trekking poles and water recommended.
