What we’re about
Green Bay Transgender Meetup started in 2017 with four trans feminine persons who wanted a safe private fun social support group for transgender/gender diverse/non-binary persons. They met at the Napalese Lounge. It has now grown into a nonprofit organization known as the Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity (BACGD) whose mission is "To provide support, education, and advocacy for transgender persons, their families, and allies." Check out its website at https://www.BACGenderDiversity.org. The cornerstone of BACGD is the gathering on the first Thursday of every month in the community room at the Napalese Lounge. Trans persons whether they identify as cross dressers, gender fluid, transgender, dual gender, M to F, F to M, omnigender, etc. are welcome. It's a chance to get out and meet a warm welcoming group of usually 20- 30 trans persons to socialize, live, love and laugh. BACGD also periodically organizes additional weekend social outings. Young and old, those who have never been "out" and those who have been out and about awhile are part of the group.
