What we’re about
Come join us at the Greenfield Public Library on Wednesday evenings from 6 - 7:40pm as we read and critique each other's prose and poetry! We meet at the Local History Room upstairs. This is a free workshop and drop-ins are welcome.
Here are the guidelines:
-Writers bring in three single-spaced or six double-spaced pages max of any prose or poetry in-progress.
-Writers are encouraged to bring enough copies (around 10) so that everyone can read along and provide thoughtful feedback.
Format:
-Writer reads aloud their work.
-Readers can raise their hands to share constructive feedback, and the moderator calls on a few of them. Readers should be concise and considerate when giving feedback. Feedback lasts around five to ten minutes.
-Readers can also write their feedback in the margins for writers to review.
-Writers can’t talk back when being critiqued.
-Move on to the next writer.
