Winston-Salem's Downtown Arts District Association holds an event called the 'Gallery Hop' on the First Fridays of the month. The event turns the arts district into a pedestrian friendly arts celebration, and the arts district is a cool area to roam or if one wishes to try, suit.

If one does opt to suit, please read through the suiting section so we may be welcome back.

From 6 PM to 10:30 PM, Trade Street ***may*** be blocked between 5th and 7th Streets, and 6th Street ***may*** be blocked between Cherry and Liberty Streets. Unfortunately, we might not know if the streets will be closed or not in advance.

We will meet up at 6:30 PM, with aim of being ready to roam by about 7 PM.

**We'll initially meet at Section 3A of the 6th/Cherry-Trade parking deck.**

If driving Cherry Street from Salem Parkway, the deck entrance is on your right after passing 5th Street.

The parking deck is directly across the street from the Benton Convention Center, and there is a sky-bridge connecting the two. Section 3A is on the 3rd level by the elevators and the sky-bridge to the convention center. If you arrive later, please use Telegram to see live location updates.

Parking is at the city-owned 6th/Cherry-Trade parking deck. If there's no attendant on duty, it's free. Otherwise, it should be $2 for the evening. They usually stop charging by the time we leave, unless there's a major event downtown.

Free parking is also available along Liberty Street on a first come, first served basis.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑--> HANDLERS <--🧑‍🤝‍🧑
Furries without fursuits are completely allowed and welcome to attend! We want you here with us, so please do not feel you have to have a fursuit to have fun with us. Plus, suiters may occasional need assistance from furries in plan clothes. It's normal for most the group to not suit at this event.

The Downtown Arts District Association is okay with us suiting at their event, as long as we are family friendly and don't scare the kids.

**Please remember to bring a means of carrying hydration.**

We do not have a private changing place; however, section 3A of the parking deck should be fairly vacant. This is near elevators which go to street level.

Suiters should not enter businesses in suit, unless the business grants permission first. Also, please be mindful that many galleries have breakables, which tails or similar could easily knock over.

Please remember our group rules & charter. If we are walking on the street & are requested to remove our heads by a Law Enforcement official we shall do so. If we enter Reboot or any other business and are asked to remove our heads, we will comply.

Known business stances:

Reboot has said they "do not care" if we wear fur suits or cosplay in their arcade, though be advised & fair warned that the quarters are tight in Reboot arcade & the floor can get very dirty. As the evening grows on, the drinks tend to get spilled as well. Fur suit at your own discretion at Reboot.

Mast General has been cool with us stopping in.

Wildlight's cafe has been cool with us stopping in for refreshments and rest.

Rena Marie's Coffees & Bubble Tea has been cool with suiters.

All the galleries have been cool with suiters.

We could hit the "Reboot" Arcade bar at 534 N Liberty St in downtown Winston. It allows all ages (before 9 PM) to attend and they have retro arcades for only a quarter to play, so it can accommodate any budget. Bring yo’case quarters & jingle! We often try a downtown restaurant near the end of the night; however, depending on group size, we might not be able to all eat together. Any meal will be later in the evening, so please plan for your needs accordingly.

The Gallery Hop is rain or shine! We tend to spend most of our time indoors at galleries, so we'll only cancel this meet if the weather looks too severe for travel. Check for update that afternoon.
