What we’re about
Welcome gardeners, small farmers and those who care about where their food comes from! I hope the group can be a way for growers (and cooks and eaters) to connect, to potentially swap or sell produce, to share equipment and expertise, and to learn. I am planning to organize a fruit tree grafting workshop in the Spring, a few "Food Prep Marathons" as crops come in (e.g. pickling, canning, etc.), as well as some demonstrations of particular growing methods. I am new to the area and moving from hardiness Zone 9 to Zone 5 so am on a learning journey about how to successfully grow in this area. Happy to adjust depending on who joins. The emphasis will be on organic and sustainable growing practices.
At the moment, I am hoping meetings will be in-person and probably on weekend days but may go online if Covid numbers rise/people have a preference.
