Roll at 7:00 so be ready about 6:45

The ride will be 42 miles on the trail. We will maintain a 19 to 21 mph pace (wind permitting). This is a group ride designed for fitness. Riders need to be able to maintain a 21 mph pace. If you cannot you could be dropped. Pulls are rotated, and no one should pull more than one mile. One half mile is fine. This is not a race or training ride. If we all adhere to the ride description, we get a great workout and enjoy a great ride with like minded cyclist...... . On the way back, once we pass the park, it is "every rider for themselves." Some riders might choose to speed up while others might slow down. It is up to you!

Guest Policy

Rules concerning guest privileges on Grupetto rides.

These guidelines have been created to help ensure the safety of all who ride with us. Ascyclists, we understand the danger associated with our sport. We count on each other to be aware of our actions and how they affect others. Every time we rol, our fate i placed in our fellow rider' hands. When riding with a new perso, there is even more faith required. All members should familiarize themselves with these rules and respect them. We count on each other!

As members of Grupett, we are welcome to bring a guest on our rides. Certain criteria shall be observed.

1. Member responsibilities: [ heretofore designated as sponsor] shall:

a. Familiarize your guest with Grupetto rules and procedure, including the requirement to stay at the back for the first ride with us or until the ride host says otherwise.

b. Make sure the guest understands the ride host has authority over the ride.

c. RSVP with notification of a guest.

d. Bring your guest to the ride early enough to introduc them to the host and allow time for a brief conversation.

e. Participate in the conversation as needed.

f. Ride with your guest long enough to be confident in their ability and willingness to adhere to Grupetto guidelines.

g. Be willing to ride with them the entire way or accompany them back early if the ride host request it.

Remembe, as the "guest sponso," YOU are responsible for that guest!

If you are not comfortable with the rider immediately in front or behind you, move to a different position in the pace line. We will adhere to all rules of safe cycling. Helmets are required. No headphones. Be courteous to drivers. Stop at all signs. Ride SINGLE FILE. Obey the rules of the road. No Aero Bars. You should carry identification.

By taking part in any Grupetto-USA event, you acknowledge that you realize bicycling has inherent dangers and that you assume responsibility for yourself by participating. This means you recognize and accept responsibility for your actions and understand the potential for injury and even death. We expect new riders to choose a category ride appropriate for their skills.
