Guarda Jóias is presenting the exhibition Dissoluções de Mim, by architect and professor Pedro António Janeiro.
Pedro's work is based on the paradox of the unfinished drawing that appears to be finished. He challenges us to complete and/or imagine the missing and dissolved lines. He invites us to fill in what is missing in the drawings.
Only what is solid dissolves,
therefore,
what is soluble is what sometimes disappears.
Still being there,
invisible, in silence.«O desenho é um caminho, uma linha que começa num ponto e que vai dar a um outro. Dissolvo certas coisas que até poderia finalizar com as linhas ausentes. Mais um traço e seria demais (estaria a sobrecarregar o desenho com informação), menos um traço e quase se tocaria no absurdo do realismo.enquanto, de extremo.»
