Today a great walk that takes in part of the Alice Holt Forest a secret airfield and hopefully s sheltered lunch spot.

It will be hilly and muddy in places so come prepared.

We will drop by the Alice Holt visitor centre on the outbound stretch.

Arriving

Hourly trains stop at Bentley from London Waterloo and Portsmouth direction. The 10:02 arrival from London is the last train that will get you to Bentley in time for the walk.

Parking is chargeable at the Bentley Station Car Park believed to be £3.90 for the day at weekends.

Preparation

You should wear good ankle supporting boots with strong treads.

Dress for the weather and bring sufficient drinking water for the duration.

Organise your lunch items before the walk starts, there are no shops along the walk.

It is a group event with walk guidance organisation only, no service is inferred or risk assumed.

You will need to be of good physical fitness to participate.
