What we’re about
Group for writers, thinkers and innovators. All people interested in creative play and intellectual exploration welcome to attend. Events focus on writing, arts, future thinking, innovation, community building and creative entrepreneurship of all kinds.
Note to past members: Were you a member of the Seattle Women Writers group and still interested in writing events for women only? Please join our sister group - Pacific Northwest Women Writers. This meetup offers an opportunity for women, trans and non-binary scribes to connect in a warm and supportive environment.
The PNW Women Writers group is a "closed" group, so you will have to apply to join. However, the application only has two very simple questions. All women women, trans and non-binary writers who want to connect in a supportive environment are warmly welcomed.

See all- StoryOly - Story SlamThe Brotherhood Lounge, Olympia, WA
Theme for November 19th: Silver Lining
StoryOly is Olympia’s premiere Story Slam event. Community members come together on the third Tuesday each month to share, compete and tell true stories based on a monthly theme. StoryOly aims to encourage and develop community engagement and connection through the medium of storytelling.
When a STORYOLY event begins, storyteller hopefuls put their names in a “hat”. A half hour later, names are picked, and one by one, storytellers take the stage. The ten featured stories are scored by a team of judges selected from the audience. Each Story Slam generates a Story Slam winner. After ten slams, the winners face off in a Grand Slam Championships.
Want to tell a story? View story requirements here.
Held every third Tuesday. Get there by 6:30pm to put your name in the hat to tell a story. Story telling starts at 7pm.
Pay what you can. Suggested $5-$15. No one is turned away for lack of payment.
StoryOly events take place at The Brotherhood Lounge and are strictly 21+.
