*UPDATE* \- Due to COVID19 this group now takes place online until further notice\. To access the support group you must contact CMHA before you can join\. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of those in and new to the group\.

Queer Minds is a closed social space for individuals that identify as Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer etc… In collaboration between Moyo Health & Community Services and the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Group takes place every Wednesday with CMHA, 6.00 – 7.00PM. Queer Minds is a group for individuals aged 16+ to connect with community and gain knowledge and support on various 2SLGBTQ+ topics/issues.

**\*\*For new members, please be advised that to join the group, you must join the call 30 minutes earlier so we can verify that new attendees are informed and will adhere to our group guidelines. This is to ensure that we are maintaining a safe environment for everyone. If you are unable to join 30 minutes earlier, then as a last resort you can meet with either Michael or Katie sometime in the week to go through the guidelines.**

**Failure to confirm adherence to group guidelines with the facilitators will result in immediate removal from the group.**

**Our community guidelines can be found below:**

**• Absolutely no racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, sexist, or misogynist language will be allowed in this space. Individuals who engage in this behavior will be removed post-haste and effectively banned from the virtual group.**

**• Keep confidential and identifying information in the group. This also includes being in your own private space while in the group!**

**• Folks should not share what is disclosed by others. You are welcome to share general information you have learned.**

**• Treat everyone with respect and an openness to learn.**

**• Be responsible for your own actions, attitudes, and words. Use “I” statements. Ask for permission before offering suggestions to others.**

**• Please practice appropriate “on-camera etiquette” and feel free to turn your camera on/off as needed. Please mute your microphone unless you are speaking.**
