Que vous soyez d'Halifax, que vous y habitiez auparavant ou que vous venez d'ailleurs, soyez la bienvenue dans notre groupe et venez pratiquer votre conversation française ! Cette rencontre est idéale pour les personnes qui habitent en périphérie et qui hésitent à s'aventurer au centre-ville d'Halifax, ou les personnes qui désirent rencontrer des Haligoniens francophiles sans s'acheter des billets d'avion.

Whether you live in Halifax, you are a former Haligonian or come from away, welcome to our group and come practice your French conversation skills! This Meetup is great for people living in the suburbs and are hesitant to drive downtown Halifax, or those who would like to meet Francophile Haligonians, minus paying airfare.

As this Meetup is informal, discussion topics in this Meetup come spontaneously. You may even learn a few words or expressions to increase your vocabulary!

To keep the meeting manageable, I am limiting registrations to 12 people. We will meet using Jitsi Meet, and you only need to click or tap the event link on the Event page to launch your session.

You already RSVP'd, there is a Waitlist and you cannot come to this Meetup anymore? Please change your status to "Not Going" to give someone on the Waitlist the chance of attending.

What do you need?

-A reliable Internet connection.

-A computer with a microphone and a webcam, a tablet, or a smartphone.

-If using a tablet or smartphone, you can download the Jitsi app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Make sure your device is fully charged, as videoconferencing apps tend to use a lot of power!

-Your device's power cord or portable charger, especially if you are using your smart phone or tablet.

-A comfortable and calm place to sit, free of disruptive ambient noise.

-Your own drink. A coffee, a beer, a glass of wine, a glass of Bulwark's Cider, or even your water bottle!

-NOTES-
Please ensure your screen name on Jitsi matches your Meetup profile name, as this is how we know who you are.

For those of you planning to join us using your computer, check your configuration before using Jitsi, as not all computers will support it. If you are joining the Meetup using a computer and we cannot hear you, try using another browser (e.g. if it does not work on Firefox, try using Microsoft Edge).
