What we’re about
We make handmade cards for people in the hospital for psychological reasons. We have a relationship with Rochester General Hospital where we reguarly give them cards that we make in the group. We aim to reduce the stigma of mental illness through card making and by letting people in the hospital know that we care.
This group is FREE to anyone who wants to attend. There is an OPTIONAL place to donate if you want to help me cover expenses (I pay for everything out of pocket- $30 per month for meetup.com fees, plus I pay the cost of supplies. Anything donated will go to those two things only)
You don't need to bring any supplies but you can if you want. However supplies are provided as mentioned.
Every time we meet I will teach a card making technique, or you can come and make your own project.
Some of the available supplies that we have include a die cutter and dies (cuts out shapes in papet), a Cricut machine, many many stamps, washi tape, watercolors, cards, colored card stock paper, scissors, markers, colored pencils, stencils, and more.
