Supplies to be provided. Please bring $4 to cover their cost and the cost of our meetup. (our globes won't be quite as fancy as the one in the picture)
The oldest known snow globe made it's debut along with the Eiffel Tower at the 1878 Paris Universal Exposition. They were made by a local Paris glassware company - and they were hollow balls filled with water, containing a man with an umbrella and a white powder that fell like snowflakes.
However, in 1900 an Austrian man named Erwin Perzy (considered to be its proper “inventor”) created them accidentally. Join us to find out what happened......
We hope to see you soon!
