What we’re about
This LGBTQ + Allies + MeetUp ( HanginOut ) attempts to provide a safe place for Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Trans/Queer and Allies to hang out and make some new friends.
If you're coming out, already out, or just want to get out, we know its hard to meet people outside of our everyday life.
HanginOut is based on anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory principles and we will not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any type towards any member of the group or the community we engage in. If a member is engaging in harassing / discriminating behaviors they will be reported and will be permanently banned from this group.
As members of an anti-oppressive anti-discriminatory community you can actively participate in maintaining a safe environment for all by not engaging in bullying, unsupportive talk or actions, AND addressing people who do, letting them know that such behaviour is not going to be welcomed in this environment.
We welcome suggestions for activities, and if you're interested in an event leadership role and becoming an assistant or event organizer we're always happy to welcome some new energy and ideas. We're here to meet new people and expand our social networks, so lets do that!
