Hello Telugu folks,
Surprised to know that there is no telugu group for people living in NJ/NY inspite of being in large numbers. This meetup group is for all telugu people living in NY/NJ who love to hangout with fellow telugu people in and around New York City.
The idea is to have best of both the worlds, all the incredible things about India in addition to the beautiful varied culture and international experience that New York can offer! We want it all! The main agenda is to arrange plenty of activities to socialize and mingle with like minded people over evening drinks, dinners and movies.
We love Telugu Movies and the buzz around our premier shows. We love Bollywood nights and can dance all night long. We love hanging out in happy hours. We love roaming around the city, planning day trips and adventure activities. We love Hyderabadi Biryani, Spicy food , potlucks and all our festivals. We love Cricket.
People with similar interests go ahead and join the meetup. We want this to be perfect meeting place be it for socialize/social networking or for somebody who wants to enjoy a weekend beyond just plain dining at some Indian restaurant.
Members are welcome to bring their non-Telugu speaking friends/partners to events.
Note: This is not dating meetup. The core of the group is genuinely cool, cultured & super liberal without any hidden agenda or judgement and we seek the same in you!
