Celebrate. Because each shot is a chance for a small win, and every win deserves to be celebrated. It's just more fun!
Connect. With each other during the round (vs. walking silently from shot to shot) and being open to the occasional snack and drink after the round. As we get to know each other, it becomes so much easier to laugh together, encourage each other, and celebrate.
Join us if this sounds like your kind of golf. We play a round on the fourth weekend of each month, rotating among courses in San Francisco. From time to time, we also practice together at the Presidio.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. What skills levels are this group for? Do I need a certain handicap to play?
A. This group is about happiness, not handicaps. No matter your handicap, you are welcome. If you want to ease into things with us, start with one of our Meetups at Fleming or Golden Gate, which are more forgiving courses.
Q. What if I am new to golf?
A. While we all love golf, none of us are golf teachers. We’d hate to tell you the wrong things! Consider the beginning golf class at the City College of SF to get started the right way.
Q. The next event is full. Should I sign up for the waitlist?
A. Absolutely! In almost every Meetup, a couple people have had to cancel, and spots opened up.
Q. How does the waitlist work?
A. Four days before the round, I ask everyone who RSVPed to confirm they are still interested in coming. If someone doesn't confirm by 9am two days before the round, then I open up their spot. That’s also when I change the booking to release any unneeded spots.
Q. What if I want to come but just don't know two days in advance?
A. You're still welcome to join us! Just RSVP as “Maybe” and make your booking directly with the golf course once you decide.
Q. When should I show up?
A. 30 minutes before the first tee time of the meetup. We have found that it takes us about 15 minutes to check in, and another 15 to get organized into groups and make it to the first tee without feeling rushed.
Q. The events all seem to be all nine holes. What if I want to play eighteen?
A. Please make your own booking, post the details on the discussion page, and directly coordinate with other members.

Back to San Francisco for Thanksgiving weekend!
Burn off those Thanksgiving calories and get a good leg workout on Lincoln’s hills. Lincoln *may* reward you with views of the Golden Gate Bridge. (Fog decides.)
This is a fun course with some eccentric routing. You have a choice to play just the front 9, or play its signature hole if you play 18. Please let me know in advance as this may affect grouping. Price is the same if you play 9 or 18.What you need to know:
-Lincoln is hilly. Bring a push cart or rent one of their electric robo-caddies for $25. Call the proshop directly for more information.
-Golf carts are few and run out very quickly so don't count on them. Get ready to go old school and walk.
-Bring water and food. It's a workout.
-Event time posted may change* depending on tee time availability one week before the event, so keep checking back for final tee times the week before the event.
-Green fees. Check which weekend fee schedule applies to you here.
-Meeting place. Outside proshop.
-Meeting time. November 30, 11:30 AM or thirty minutes before the first tee time. Keep checking back for final tee times the week before the event.
-RSVP on or before November 18. If you RSVP, you will be asked to reconfirm your attendance by November 26. If you don't reconfirm, the spot will be released.
-Waitlist. Spots do open up so keep checking back.
-Weather. Event will be canceled if the chance of rain at 10:00am is forecast to be 40% or greater. Again, keep checking back!
