Jeram Perlus is arguably the tallest waterfall in the state of Selangor and also one of the prettiest and untouched.

Jeram Perlus is located in Hulu Langat region, a region that is believed to have the highest concentration of waterfalls in all of state of Selangor. Jeram Perlus is located next to the ever famous Gabai waterfall and the only way for you to get an access to the fall is through the aborigine village located just before the entrance to Gabai waterfall. Unlike it’s neighbouring Gabai fall, Jeram Perlus is almost entirely untouched because the effort to reach the fall is extremely strenuous.

Jeram Perlus is just like other Malaysia’s hidden waterfalls in which it is located so deep within the forest that it literally brings you back to nature. The only human beings crossed this path to Jeram Perlus regularly were the aborigines for them to hunt for foods and forage for wild fruits, thus making this forest to be almost entirely untouched.

Jeram Perlus is known to be so elusive and so remote that it warrants you to have a guide from the aborigine so that you won’t be lost in the middle of this treacherous, forest. It is not only because of it’s remote location, it is also because the route is extremely confusing, the forest is very dense and on top of that, it is home to one of Malaysia’s notorious man killers, the sun bear.

The trek is moderate, as most of it’s pathway involves hiking because this area is hilly.

It is 8KM in distance between the aborigine village to the fall, and we reached there after 2 hours and 50 minutes of trekking.
