Idle hour loop day hike.

Fall is almost leaving us but before that happens let's enjoy the beautiful colors of fall that is all over the San Gabriel mountains.

This time, we are going to do the loop again. We are starting at Henninger Flats. Go up two more miles to idle Hour Campground. Then 3 more miles uphill to inspiration Point. And then from there, we’re coming down via Upper Sam Merrill Trail to Echo.
We plan to get down about 4:30 to 5:00pm.
This is a about 14 miles round trip with a intermedia pace.
Once we get to Idle hour. We are going to stop for lunch and filter water about 15-20min.
This is going to be my second time doing the loop. I know it’s going to be challenging for some of us going uphill but then it gets easier. this will be a car shuttle. Park some cars at echo. then go to Henninger.

what to bring:
day backpack,
hiking shoes, trek sticks, hat, sunblock, your swimsuit/ shorts, towel ( optional), 2 littles of water your lunch and snacks. In the way there is plenty of water just bring you filter. This is a long hike please know your limits.
