Name: A Boggs Creek and Cowrock Adventure

This is an **exploratory** hike with **hard bushwhacking**.

The Boggs Creek Recreation Area is in the Chestatee WMA. You pass it every time you drive to Blood Mountain from Turners Corner.
We will begin at the intersection of Boggs Creek Road FS443 and FS443A. Going up along Boggs Creek then Little Ridge Creek, we will see the waterfalls on Little Ridge Creek. Back down to FS443, then up along Cowrock Creek we will see Cowrock Creek Falls. Back down again to the road, we will continue until the road ends, then bushwhack up to Fields Gap and down to the Logan Turnpike #131. Up the Logan Turnpike to Tesnatee Gap were we will pick up the AT and climb to Cowrock.

Return: South on the ridge to Cowrock Mountain and Cowrock Flat. East along Big Ridge, then south to intersect FS443, and back to our starting point. About 12½ miles, 3,400 ft ascent.

Meet at 8 AM at the Boggs Creek Recreation Area.
