Write Around the World: A Workshop with DK Eyewitness travel writers!
Details
Are you ready to bring your travel tales to life?
Happy Writing invites you to immerse yourself in the captivating world of travel storytelling as we present an exciting workshop featuring two extraordinary authors: Kacie Rose and Rachel Preece.
Kacie and Rachel will share their best tips and practices on how to craft your travel narratives, cultivate the details that matter and tricks for catching a publisher’s eye.
About the authors:
Kacie Rose is a travel content creator living in Florence, Italy. After a life-changing solo trip and her own little “under the Tuscan sun moment,” she made the official move to Italy in January 2021. Through positivity, authenticity, and humor, she began sharing culture shocks, travel tips, and life abroad across her social media, where her following quickly grew to a community of over 1.5 million people. Her first book, You Deserve Good Gelato, was published this year by DK Eyewitness.
Rachel Preece is a Munich-based travel and culture writer, whose work has appeared in Culture Trip, BBC, Singapore Airlines’ inflight magazine SilverKris, The Huffington Post, and Kaltblut. She co-authored MONOCLE’s Munich travel guide and was a contributing writer for the DK Eyewitness Germany guide.
Whether you’re a budding writer itching to spin your tale or an experienced storyteller looking to refine your craft, this event is for you. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the experts in the field and take your writing to new destinations!
Please bring something to write with, such as a laptop, tablet, notebook, chisel and stone, etc.
This event has limited attendance. If you RSVP and cannot go, please give up your spot in a timely manner. We will start promptly at 17h. Please arrive 15 minutes in advance. :)
This event will be taking place after Cafe maBe’s official opening times. We ask that everyone who attends orders something from the cafe as that is a stipulation for them giving us the space outside of their normal hours.
