**Harewood House Estate Round walk - 4.8 ml**

Location: Harewood, Nr Leeds, West Yorkshire. (on the A61 between Leeds & Harrogate)

Meeting Point: The bus shelter opposite the Harewood Arms, Harewood village, Nr Leeds, West Yorkshire

Strictly NO DOGS allowed on any HDGW walks.

Parking: Roadside parking available.
There are a number of suitable parking spots in Harewood village but I would recommend the following:
Church Lane - (first turning left after passing the Harewood Arms travelling towards Harrogate)
The Village Hall car park at the end of Church Lane.
Harewood Avenue - (road facing main entrance to Harewood House)
Harewood Arms Hotel car park - For those visiting the Harewood Arms Hotel after the walk I am led to believe its ok to use the far end of the pub car park.

An easy 4.8 mile walk passing through and along estate pathway, open woodland, green way and parkland that go to present magnificent views over this part of Yorkshire made famous through the Emmerdale TV series the set of which we will pass close by.

A 10-15 min lunch break will be incorporated at approximately halfway point so please feel free to bring your own refreshment if required.
The walk will end with a visit to a local Inn for those who wish to stay for a while and partake in light refreshments.

CONDITIONS OF WALK ATTENDANCE

Strictly NO DOGS allowed on any HDGW walks.

The group is run on a non-profit making basis and all the walks are presented by invitation only and will be voluntarily led and free to participate.

This walking group is formulated for walkers with a moderate but adequate degree of fitness and walking experience & who must have confidence in their own ability to, at the very least, be capable of walking at a minimum pace of 2 -2.5 miles/hr, for a distance of 5 miles and generally be able to keep up with the main body of the walk group on the day.

The pace of the walk will be controlled by the leader to take into account the varied degrees of ability and at NO time should participants walk off ahead in front of the leader unless instructed to do so.

The above notice of event presents a free will invitation to join this walk event at your own risk and discretion and does not constitute or imply a contract to provide a service by the organiser, group or fellow participants.

The organiser, group and fellow participants bear no liability for individual participants, on said walk, in respect of any incident or injury caused by or endured by any such participant and that each participant do accept their own obligation and responsibility for the general well being and safety of themselves and others on said event.

The group is run on a totally voluntary non-profit making basis and all the walks will be voluntarily led and free to participate.

At the end of each walk there will be a non profit collection (usually £2/per person) in aid of 'Children with Cancer' and 'Cancer Research' charities and to help cover walk costs & expenses.

Suitable sturdy and waterproof walking attire recommended on all walks.
