Hike Seven Falls in Middletown, CT

This hike is an approximately 7.0 mile loop on the Mattabassett Trail from Seven Falls to Bear Hill.

The trail is a mix of surfaces. There is no huge elevation gain, but there will be huffing and puffing and there are places where you have to use your hands.

Parking for this event is on the north side of rt. 154. There is no bathroom there. This is a moderate hike because of the terrain. The timing of the hike depends on the pace of group. There will be breaks and we will stop for photos and snacks.

You will need to bring at least 1.5L of water, snacks, and a pack to carry them. If it's sunny, bring sunscreen, a hat and additional water since there are areas that are not in the shade. Hiking boots are a must for this hike, initial part is rocky and hard on the ankles. Hiking poles are suggested to help with the downhill parts.

Dogs are welcome, but should be on a leash. Please no kids. Please remember the posted time is the beginning of the hike. Arrive early enough to be ready to start.
