What we’re about
This group has been setup for people 30 years old and over, who live in and around Hatfield predominantly but open to people from all areas to meetup and socialise.
If you fancy going for a walk (bring your dog if they're friendly), want to go for a coffee, grab a bite to eat, go to the cinema, play pool. Alternatively, if you're up for a game of tennis, dog walking, watching sports, or for day trips out, then this is the group for you.
I am hoping to meet people who live in Hatfield, Herts or neighbouring areas to make friends and connect.
Look forward to meeting up with you soon.
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Hatfield House WalkHatfield House, Hatfield
Join in and walk around the grounds of the famous and historic Hatfield House. If members would like to go inside the house they can pay extra to do so, personally having been there a few times, I will not be.
The walk will be around 70-90mins through the woods and along the river of Hatfield House. The terrain is mostly concrete and gravel however there could be muddy spots so please wear appropriate footwear.
It costs £7 to enter the grounds for a walk as a guest of a member, to be paid on arrival at the ticket office with a member (me).
After the walk if the group would like to go to the local pub for a social drink and or some food, I am happy to do so.
There are two entrances....
- If you do not drive, you can catch a train or bus to Hatfield Station as Hatfield House is directly across the road from there.
- If you drive you can park for free at the Stables Entrance car park on Church Lane, AL9 5HX
Due to the two different entrances, people at one entrance may need to wait up to 10-15mins so we can walk from one entrance to the next to meet you.
Please join the Welwyn Hatfield Whatsapp Group and let me know where to meet you from the two options above or alternatively send me a private message on here.
Look forward to meeting you on the day

- Midnight Mass at St Etheldreda's Church, HatfieldSt Etheldreda's Church Hall, Hatfield AL10 5AR
Its an annual ritual of mine to attend
St Etheldreda's Church, Hatfield which is a beautiful and very friendly church. To observe Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve (24th Dec) at 11:15pm to appreciate the meaning behind Christmas.I really appreciate the Christmas Carols, they take me back to childhood and put me in the mood for Christmas especially its true meaning. Rest assured nobody will preach at you it's just a wonderful way I find to welcome Christmas.
The local father always provides a profound and enlightening sermon that always gives me something to think about and he throws in some humour too. All without trying to convert me :-)
Arrive early to ensure you get a good spot to park.
The address is:
