Lone Star Trail Maintenance Day

The details are still coming but HATS is doing another volunteer work weekend and camp out.

A beautiful weekend in the woods, repairing the trails that we all enjoy, followed by a camp out Saturday night with friends and a regularly scheduled LST hike the next morning. What could be better?

We are volunteering with the Sam Houston Trails Coalition for a trail maintenance day. The group will be working clipping back the overgrowth, fixing and filling trail erosion, odds and ends, and enjoying December in the forest.

Bring work gloves, work clothes with sleeves, closed toe shoes, and a hard hat if you have one. we will meet at the Double Lake campground and go from there. Afterwards dinner will be provided to the volunteers.

The Coalition has made arrangement for overnight camping. Bring camping gear and a folding chair for the evening gathering around the fire. The campground has showers and hot water. IF YOU WANT TO CAMP, PLEASE RSVP IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW.
