End November with a Walk through the SC Botanical Garden
Details
This is a new walk for our group. The Botanical Garden isn't yet back to 100% following Hurricane Helene, but it is having events again. So, there will be lots to see. Bring your camera. There should be lots of photo ops, and we aren't going to be in a hurry this time.
There are display gardens, an arboretum, nature trails and streams, camellias and other types of flowers, and even the Bob Campbell Geology Museum. I'm thinking 3 hours won't be enough time to see it all!
The garden is open free of charge (but if you have an NC Arboretum membership, bring your card with you). The museum is also free of charge, and parking there is free. That is where we will park and meet. The web site says the museum does take donations, if you are so inclined.
Dress for the weather. Bring water and a protein snack. Sorry, no pets this time. This walk is not recommended for wheelchairs, and strollers must be prepared for a hard time. Tennis shoes should be fine, and most will not want a walking stick.
Let's enjoy this exciting new adventure together. I look forward to a wonderful afternoon with my Meet Up walking friends.
