This group is a way for Gay Men to come together and access the various groups, workshops, resources and classes that are offered by The Health Initiative for Men in Vancouver and The Fraser Valley!
If you haven't heard of them, Health Initiative for Men is a non-profit society that aims to strengthen the health and well-being of gay men. They offer the full spectrum of gay men’s sexual health testing, as well as professional counselling, sexual health education, and an engaging mix of social and volunteer opportunities.

Join Health Initiative for Men (HIM) for yoga in New West every Friday at the Anvil Centre.
This is a yoga series for people of all gender expressions, identities, and body types.
Limited capacity: by registering for this free ticket, you secure your spot in the yoga class. Click HERE to register.
The room will open to us at 5:45pm if you would like to arrive early to set up, stretch, and chat with fellow participants.
Participants must bring their own yoga mats and any other preferred props to the class. We are unable to store mats at the venue and the coordinator does not attend the class every week.
This group is open to self-identified men (trans and cis), two-spirit and non-binary folks who also identify as gay, bi, or queer, and/or as guys who have sex with guys (for any reason – including for work).

Health Initiative for Men (HIM) in-person Yoga in Vancouver every Friday at the Scotia Bank Dance Studio.
This is a yoga event for people of all gender expressions, spectrum of identities and welcomes diverse bodies.

To ensure everyone’s safety during in-person sessions, Health Initiative for Men (HIM) will be upholding the following guidelines:
- Pre-register to confirm your spot
- All participants must abide by Scotia Dance Centre’s safety procedures to ensure awareness on behalf of each participant, physical distancing protocols, staying home if symptomatic, as well as proper arrival/exiting procedures.
- A HIM Program Coordinator or Volunteer Coordinator will be in attendance for every session to ensure compliance of these procedures and to adjust any necessary behaviours or non-compliance.
- The instructor and/or Coordinator will ensure signing and record logging necessary for the requested Social Contract provided by Scotia Dance Centre prior to submission.
- Participants must sign the HiM Yoga waiver once before participating
- Participants must arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class/rehearsal start time. Doors will be closed at 6:20 pm.
- Participants must bring their own yoga mats and any other preferred props to the class (if you do not have a mat, please send an email to [email protected])

Calling all BIPOC queer youth and adults 19+! Join us for a safe and supportive space at our joint support group, facilitated by Sher Vancouver and HIM. Topics will range from body positivity to health promoting behaviours to navigating queer life and culture as a queer BIPOC person.
This group runs on the first and third Sunday of every month. Typically, the first Sunday of the month will be facilitated by Sher, and the third Sunday by HIM. Please register for your FREE spot on Eventbrite HERE.

Mar-Apr 2024: Room 402 - PnP & Me: Peer-Led Drop-In Program1033 Davie St, Vancouver, BC
HIM will be hosting a weekly peer-led drop-in program to support you in achieving your goals related to sexualized substance use (party and play), connecting with the community, and accessing local resources from a peer navigator. Drop-In Program participants will also have access to group and one-to-one counselling sessions. See here checkhimout.ca/pnp-and-me/ for details.
PnP & Me is a harm reduction-based program, which means that abstinence is not a requirement. Your goals may include sobriety, reduced use or safer use, or other changes that support your wellbeing. You may also attend while high and/or drunk.
