What we’re about
HEARD NATURE PHOTOGRAPHERS
The mission of the Heard Nature Photographers is to have fun “fellowshipping” with people who share the common interest in nature and photography, to enhance the education re nature and nature photography, and especially to enjoy and utilize the wonderful privileges of the Heard sanctuary. The club has stayed true to this mission - while increasing programs, field trips, workshops, and other services.
The Heard Nature Photographers meets on the Second Saturday of each month, at 10:00 AM in the Laughlin Room at the Heard Nature Museum.

The Heard Nature Photographers Club normally meets on the second Saturday at 10:00 AM in Laughlin Hall, Heard Natural Science Museum. We have a guest speaker who talks about one of the wide range of topics that nature photography encompasses.
For April 2024 we'll be meeting at the SRC at the Heard Nature Center which is at the end of the drive into the Heard Nature Center.
The April speaker will be Karen Saucedo on Urban Wildlife:
I’m a wildlife conservation photographer born and raised in Dallas, Texas and I’ve always been committed to making a difference in the lives of animals. Their welfare will always be my number one priority, so whether they’re wild or captive, I strive to capture images without disturbing them in any way. I’m especially passionate about felines and canids and I dedicate a lot of my time to studying their behavior remotely through camera traps. I want to show everyone the beauty I see in each and every animal. They can't speak for themselves so I hope my images can make a difference in some way.
