Winter Break
Details
No rehearsal this week - Happy New Year to those who celebrate!
What is Heart of the Valley Chorus?
We are a group of women and nonbinary singers, who meet weekly throughout the year to practice, learn and laugh together. Our goal is to improve our musical skill while spreading joy through music. We love to sing, we love to be together and we love to share music with others.
What we do:
We are a year-round singing group that meets weekly on Wednesday evenings, at 6:30pm. We learn songs in 4-part barbershop style harmonies to perform at community concerts, an annual competition, and for retirement communities & nursing homes.
Who can join?
Female identifying and nonbinary singers with treble voices who are able to learn a vocal part can join us! We are an auditioned group, but we work with you to help you learn the music and be successful. Joining does take commitment - we meet regularly all year and practice on our own outside of rehearsals so that we will know our parts and be able to share high quality music with everyone!
For more information, check us out on facebook, or find our website!
From our website...
The Heart of the Valley Chorus is an auditioned choir who is always looking for new voices. Established 40 years ago originally as The Mount Sugarloaf Chorus, we are a part of Sweet Adelines International and often participate in a yearly regional competition in Springfield with other Northeast Sweet Adeline chapters. Our main goal is to have fun and produce high quality harmonies. We love to sing and love to laugh and learn music.
We are school teachers, medical professionals, college faculty, mail carriers, retirees, bookkeepers, fund development professionals, social workers, pastors and so much more
Every week on Wednesday until January 14, 2025
