Pottery wheel workshops
At UDUMBARA, you are submerged in an artist's studio and learn how to handle local wild clay. For us, knowing the exact origin of the material is of utmost importance. We work with the wild clay from the small village of Kultela in Somero, Southwestern Finland. When you make pottery at Udumbara, you don't just make handmade pottery; you also get a piece of Finland!

Simple Peace Meditation
I want to create a space for urban refuge at UDUMBARA pottery that strives to promote a safe and stable atmosphere for people to meditate and engage with one another.

Meditation opens you to a world of self-awareness and self-love. You become less judgmental and more compassionate toward yourself. You learn to extend that compassion when you realize that others are just as human and vulnerable.

"In your light, I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art."
― Rumi

Adults of all cultural and spiritual backgrounds, races, nationalities, classes, sexual orientations, gender identities, and ages are welcome.
