What we’re about
Hemel Social is a friendly social group who welcomes all. Maybe you're new to the area, kids have flown the nest, had a change in circumstances or just want to get out more & try new things or places. Join us to meet new people, socialise, make new friends, have fun & try new things.
Social activities could include meeting for coffee, drinks, eating out, pub nights, live music, dancing, theme nights, cinema, theatre, comedy, arts & crafts, day trips, race days, bowling, quiz nights, games, book club, walks, picnics, afternoon tea, escape rooms, disc/footgolf, bike rides, skating, trampolining, snowboarding or any other sports & leisure activities, museums, galleries, day trips, charity events and much more. Events can be daytime, evening, midweek or weekends. Members are also encouraged to host events. The more event hosts we have the more events there will be for you to attend. Contact one of the organisers if you are interested & want help with this.
⚠️ All members are required to keep their RSVP's up to date & MUST change it to "Not Going" as soon as possible if they can no longer attend.
Don't be shy we're a nice friendly group and when you're ready you might want to join our group of hosts & organise occasional events as well. Don't just sit at home on your own, come out, start making new friends & join in the fun.
Member requests must have a photo of you & your name so we know who we are looking out for.

Come & join us for a fun games night. We'll start the evening with a game possibly 2 of Sticky 13, it's a short fun & easy card game & you will have the chance to win a cash prize. Please bring £2 cash per game to play this. The more people that play the bigger the prize fund 💷. We will also give a percentage to the Meet Up fees & the pubs charity MacMillan.
We can play Uno, Domino's, Cards, Connect 4, Jenga, Ludo, Logo Game, Draughts 🎲🃏
Please bring any games you would like to play with you.
The pub offers a range of other snacks & meals throughout the day from 12pm.
Please pay for your drinks/food as you go.

The pub has a car park at the rear of the pub which you access via Anchor Lane. Please remember to enter your registration details on the console in the pub so you don't get a ticket! There is limited parking on St John's Road, some is free - some there are restrictions. There is also a car park on Cowper Road which is a few minutes walk away.
