What we’re about
Established in 2001, Henderson Writers’ Group (HWG) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide a networking and critiquing forum for writers of all skill levels with resources devoted to education and craft development.
What We Do:
The Henderson Writers’ Group holds three meetings per week on the Zoom virtual platform. Our Monday (6:30pm) and Thursday (2pm) meetings are at the core of our mission offering Read & Critique opportunities. After a bit of group business, dues paid members who have requested in advance may read and then receive critique on about 6 pages. Anyone present can offer critique. On select Mondays, a guest speaker may address attendees on various topics of interest in the writing and publishing industry.
Our Wednesday meetings change weekly:
1st & 3rd Wednesday 6:30pm. Read & Critique meetings using the same criteria as Monday and Thursday.
2nd Wed. 6:30pm. Book club discussions based on selections made in advance by members.
4th Wed. Henderson Writers Board Meetings. Members are welcome unless a closed meeting is declared.
5th Wed. (When applicable). Workshop/Guest Speaker/ Special Event.
