Moore Cove Falls +; a Saunter

We are the Sloth Hiking Group: “We will get there when we get there.”
I am going to visit Moore Cove Falls; We will also visit ‘Mini Moore Cove Falls’, Moore Cove Ice Cave (weather permitting), Little Moore Cove Falls, and Moore Cove Cascade. Up to 12 ppl are welcome to join me.
Distance: 2.5 mi RT; Total ascent: 500 ft
Pace: 1.5mph – because I’m an ol’ Codger.
Difficulty: Moderate: see description.
Drive time: 10 min
Apprx return time: 1 pm (=2.33hrs)
Optional: Lunch at Tequilas/Laurel Pk after the hike.

We suggest masks and open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.

Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair. Obstreperous raucous yawping is discouraged.
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT HIKE. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs. Dogs (and Masters) required to be ‘on-leash'...
DESCRIPTION;
Remember - hikes led by ‘the Curmudgeon’ tend to have challenging surprises.
Geriatrics are asked to bring their own BP cuffs.
Short staircase at the beginning. Gradual, but constant, ascent to Moore Cove falls. We will explore interesting rock formations behind the falls. After TWO challenging rock-hop creek Xings, we will proceed up the mountain to the ‘Ice Cave Falls, Little Moore Cove Falls and farther up; the cascades.
All hikes are at your own risk. You are responsible for your OWN safety and adequate equipment.
