Bluegrass and Ice Cream
Details
Gathering on the third Sunday evening each month in the Hendersonville Presbyterian Church (HPC) community room, a crowd of up to 200 people enjoy a special blend of bluegrass and gospel music interspersed with humorous anecdotes and inspirational messages — and free ice cream and cookies to boot!
Usually fewer than 20 percent of those attending are members of HPC. The rest of the audience comes from various backgrounds, denominations and ages to hear the combination of original gospel music and old-time Southern gospel songs. A love offering for the band is taken, but giving is strictly voluntary.
HPC is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and Grove Street. Parking is in the rear of the church and accessible from Grove and King Streets and from Sixth Avenue. For more information about the
church and the Bash, visit hendersonvillepc.org or call the church office, 828-692-3211.
