A hilarious and heartfelt look at life after divorce with a focus on perseverance, laughter, and self-loveNew York, NY – ‘Divorce Diaries’, the brainchild of comedian, single mom, and TV host Michele Traina, has officially premiered as a 26-minute pilot on Amazon Prime. Based on Michele’s personal journey navigating life after divorce, the pilot offers a comedic yet deeply resonant portrayal of a woman rebuilding her life while balancing motherhood, career, and the search for self-love.
Ms. Traina’s experiences of moving back in with her Italian family, raising a young daughter, and caring for a handicapped dog sparked the creation of ‘Divorce Diaries’. The project, which began as a live comedy show touring nationally, has now expanded into a successful web series, podcast, and comedy special.
"I wanted to share my journey through humor," Michele Traina explains. "This isn’t just about divorce—it’s about learning to love yourself and laugh through the chaos. I believe this story connects with people from all walks of life."
While Ms. Traina doesn’t take herself too seriously, her commitment to pursuing her creative vision has been relentless. "When doors get slammed in my face, I remind myself that not trying would be worse. I’m on a journey, and I’m doing what I love," she reflects.
The ‘Divorce Diaries’ nationwide tour has brought Michele face-to-face with audiences who connect with her stories of single motherhood, dating struggles, and co-parenting. "Hearing people laugh at my life experiences, knowing they’ve been there too—that’s why I do this," she shares.
In addition to the Amazon Prime pilot, Ms. Traina is opening for Joe Gorga from ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ at Levity Live, a dream come true for the Bravo superfan. As she balances hosting duties for the popular show ‘What’s Up, New York’ and the growing ‘Divorce Diaries’ universe, she remains focused on expanding her work into a full TV season.
"We’re talking to production companies and investors, and I’m excited about the possibilities," Ms. Traina says. "I believe that ‘Divorce Diaries’ can resonate with a broader audience, and I’m eager to see where it goes next."
