Our last Sunday walk before Christmas. A route we've done a few times before and particularly lovely in late December as it includes the Christmas lights of both Chipping Campden and Broadway. Park either at the school or on-street nearby. There are usually plenty of spots on the main road but give yourself time to park and car share if you can. Our route takes us out of the town and over Dover's Hill and eventually we end up in Broadway before heading back up the hill towards Broadway Tower and across 5 Mile Drive back to Campden for a Christmas beer.

**Our Walks**
We tend to walk at between 3 and 3.5 miles an hour, which is faster than Ramblers and social groups. We tend to stop for a couple of breaks and around 20 minutes for a picnic lunch. This is a walking group, so we don’t hang about to take lots of photographs. There is no guarantee of finding toilets during our walk.

**Walk Statistics**
This walk is 10.5 Miles long (fields, tracks and some minor roads)
This walk has 1300 feet of total ascent and is classified as Moderate/Hard with one steep long ascent out of Broadway. There is also a shorter hill from Chipping Campden to Dover's Hill

We leave on time and unable to wait for latecomers.
You should have a reasonable level of fitness to do this walk and new members are welcome to join us.

**What to bring**
There is no planned pub or cafe stop en-route so you'll need to bring enough foodstuffs and liquids to keep you going all day. You'll need decent footwear and suitable clothing. Jeans are not recommended as they can become very uncomfortable if it rains. Only walking type wellies. Trainers are only useful when the conditions are very dry.

Jon is a very experienced walk leader and trained to MLT standards. Hazel has completed the 2 day Outdoor First Aid Course. The group holds public liability insurance.

We try to keep together as a group, so please try other groups if you want to compete with others or push ahead on your own. You must be willing to listen to all instructions that impact on your safety.
You must be medically fit enough to participate. If in doubt, please speak with the walk leader beforehand. Medication must be carried if necessary.

No dogs please (except assistance dogs by prior consent).

Places are limited, so please only book on to this event if you really intend to participate. All walks are subject to static and dynamic risk assessments. As with any outdoor activity, walking carries a certain level of risk. Whilst we do endeavour to avoid any unnecessary risks, participants must take all reasonable precautions themselves to avoid injury.
