What we’re about
We are a walking group based in Norfolk, run by a bunch of relaxed, friendly, inclusive volunteers aimed at similar like-minded people.
We host everything from gentle 5 – 10 mile strolls plus more challenging 10+ mile hikes, also a wide range of social events and weekends away.
Whether you are new to walking or an experienced walker who is looking for a group to walk with, you are more than welcome to join us on any of our walks.
Your first three walks with us are complementary, but after that we ask that you join the Ramblers, which is our parent organisation.
To join Hike Norfolk you need to join The Ramblers.
In the second section of the form, under the heading ‘Your group’, choose the Norfolk area then the Hike Norfolk group. To receive communications from us, you need to provide your email address to Ramblers when you join (and update Ramblers if your email changes).
Thanks - The Hike Norfolk Team.
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Hike Norfolk: Blakeney, Cley and Wiveton Down / 9.7 miles / Saturday 16 NovemberBlakeney Village Hall, Norfolk
Beautiful Blakeney! Join us for a lovely circular walk from Blakeney, taking in the Norfolk Coast Path, Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton Down and back via country lanes and footpaths.
Please only sign up if you can actually make the walk. If you then can’t attend, please mark yourself as not going. I’ll be taking a register at the start of the walk. There is quite a lot of road walking so dogs will have to be on a lead for much of the time. Please write in the comments if you intend to bring a well-behaved dog.
Meet at 10am at Blakeney Village Hall, Langham Road, Blakeney, NR25 7PG. The Village Hall has a large free car park with a toilet, there are also two toilets enroute. The Coasthopper 1 bus between Wells-next-the-Sea and Sheringham/Cromer runs on Saturdays. Please car share if you can, pop your car sharing offers/requests in the comments.
Please wear boots/sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. Also bring your own lunch and a drink, the Spar at Blakeney and Picnic Fayre deli at Cley-next-the-Sea will be open if you need to stock up. We’ll have lunch at St Margarets Church in Cley (4.7 miles).
Hike Norfolk is part of the Ramblers and we are a friendly bunch who always welcome new members. You can join 3 Ramblers walks for free before signing up, so check us out! Further info: https://www.ramblers.org.uk/get-involved/join-the-ramblers.aspx
See you then!
