Maclehose Trail (Sections 9 & 10)

Join us for an exciting hike along the Maclehose Trail sections 9 and 10!

This event will take you through scenic landscapes, including the enchanting Tai Lam Forest and the picturesque Thousand Island Reservoir

Travel to the Trail:

1. From Tsuen Wan MTR: Take exit A and turn left onto Tai Ho Road 2.

2. Bus: Take bus 51 to Tsuen Kam Au 2. Get off at the top of the pass at the Tai Mo Shan
   Country Park Visitor Centre

Event Details:
• Starting Point: Route Twisk
• Ending Point: Tuen Mun
• Distance: Approximately 22.18 km
• Duration: Around 5.5 hours (including rest and photo stops)
• Difficulty: Intermediate (3.5/5)

Highlights:
• Section 9: A relatively easy hike along a service road heading towards Section 10 1.
Enjoy the beautiful Sweet Gum Woods and take a short detour at the Thousand Island
Reservoir Viewing Point

• Section 10: The longest section of the Maclehose Trail, around 15 km 1. It's mainly flat with occasional uphill sections 1. Pass through the scenic Tai Tong Sweet Gum Woods and the Thousand Island Viewing Point 1. The trail ends at Castle Peak Road

• San Hui

What to Bring:
• At least 2 liters of water
• Plenty of snacks
• Comfortable hiking shoes
• Proper hiking apparel
• Trekking poles (optional but recommended)

Ending the Event:
After completing the hike, you can take a short walk to the Tuen Mun MTR station to catch your way back home.
