- Hike @ Turkey RunTurkey Run State Park, Marshall, IN
We started 2024 with a hike at Turkey Run and as we're getting close to the end of the year, we'll make another trip there for a hike that will last between 3 and 3.5 hours. We'll see a combination of rocky and hilly terrain along with a steep staircase or two.
PLEASE NOTE: This will be a rugged, lengthy hike, so if you're not ready for something rigorous, please consider joining us for a less challenging hike.
Our plan will be to begin from the Nature Center and hike parts of trails 3 (avoiding the ladders on trail 3), 10, 4, 1, and 2 in a loop that will take us back to where we began. We'll then drive across the park to the inn parking lot and hike trail 7 behind the inn before calling it a day.
Admission to the park is $7.
We'll be meeting in the parking lot in front of the Nature Center at 2pm.

CAR POOL INFO: Our car pool will meet along the west side of Bishop Chatard High School on the corner of Kessler Boulevard and Crittenden Avenue at 5885 Crittenden Avenue. The parking along the street is free on Saturdays. We'll meet on the sidewalk at the school entrance near the corner and be leaving at 12:15pm. Note: We do not meet in the parking lot behind the school. We meet on the street alongside the school on Crittenden.
For anyone interested in grabbing a bite to eat after the hike, we'll plan to have dinner at the inn's restaurant after the hike. They offer a buffet (which goes for $21.99) as well as a menu. Here's a link to the menu.
