We'll go out and hike these really cool trails for about an hour and a half, figure out where we are, and then hike back to the parking lot.

There are a couple of hills, but nothing big. I always use trekking poles whenever I'm not on a paced surface. I also always bring water and a snack.

Some of the hikers go out to eat after the hike. I usually can't because of work.

I HIGHLY recommend that you use a navigation app such as AllTrails whenever you're out in the woods. You never know when you might have to make your way back to your vehicle on your own.

If you're running late, please text me at 616 446 8102. We can wait. Otherwise we'll leave right on time. I'll have a dark blue Honda Accord.

If you've not hiked with an organized group before, please give us a try. We love to have new hikers join us. Don't worry about being too fast or too slow for the group. Our hikers tend to split up into different groups according to pace. We typically average about 2.5 mph.

This hike is also posted on my Facebook group: West Michigan Hikers.

IMPORTANT: It's rifle hunting season right now. Even though we're not ever going to hike on trails where rifle hunting is going on, it's important to remember that bullets fired by a rifle can go a LONG way - even up to several miles. That's why it's so important to wear orange when you're hiking in the woods during this time of the year.

See you out on the trails !
