Norvin Green - Mine Loop, Carris Hill & Wyanokie High Point 7+ miles Strenuous

DESCRIPTION: Strenuous 7+ miles, about 1500 ft total elevation gain. We will start with the Mine loop, first the Roomy Mine (18th Century), and then on to the Blue Mine (19th Century), two medium-cool relics from the iron-mining era. From there, we will take the White trail to the Yellow to go up Carris Hill for lunch. We pick up the Highlands Trail to Wyanokie High Point and, from there, back to the parking lot.

We meet at the New Weis Center Parking Lot (https://goo.gl/maps/1Pv865jYHqHVGNyt7) at 8:50, 10 minutes ahead of our 9:00 a.m. departure!

Bring plenty of water snacks and appropriate seasonal items (sun and insect protection in summer and crampons in winter). Day-of-hike-only phone: 917-597-8212 (Tom).

**Note** We hike moderately quickly, take short breaks, and never leave anyone behind.
