WALK - Rockwood Park to Alapocas Woods

NOTE: This event will begin PROMPTLY at 1:30pm.

We will walk about 7 miles starting at the Rockwood Museum. We will head up Talley Road, through Weldin Ridge, onto the Northern Delaware Greenway Trail, pass a golf course to the Can-Do Playground, and then over to Alapocas Woods and back to Rockwood Park.

This course is all on paved asphalt and has mostly rolling hills. However, Talley Road is a long steep climb.

We will meet in the FIRST parking lot. Parking is FREE.

From I-95, take the Marsh road exit.
*Turn Right on Carr road.
*Turn right on Washington Street extension.
Go 1/4 mile and enter Rockwood Museum on right.

Joseph Shipley, a Quaker merchant banker, built Rockwood between 1851 and 1854. Its Gothic Revival architecture and enchanting landscape were designed to reflect the beauty of an English country estate.
