Camp and hike at Bastrop and Buescher state parks. I am arriving late on Friday December 6th and camping at the lake view campground at buescher State Park. On Saturday, December 7th at 8 am, hike the Lost pines loop, heron hideaway and scenic overlook trail at Bastrop. According to the park map, this should be about 12 miles. After finished people can rest or we can hike some more. On Sunday, pack up tents and hike at Buescher State Park a 7 mile loop using pine gulch and winding woodland trail. This is a strenuous hiking trip for those who like to hike long distances. I am interested in sharing the campsite that I booked and possibly carpooling. Campsites are filling up fast so book your site soon. My campsite is at buescher because Bastrop is already filled up. These parks are about 4 hours from the DFW area. You will need to bring food water and all camping supplies. Make sure you are prepared with a pack and plenty of water snacks for hiking.
